These two necklaces are a good pair: giant faux amber beads on one and teeny sterling baskets on the other. I’ve hung the baskets from orange enameled ball chain. I wear those baskets lots, on a variety of strands and chains.
It was 100+ today, with severe thunderstorms.

It was hot today. Even these necklaces were almost too much.

This necklace is a whopper. Gigantic resin beads strung on red leather with a single, blown-glass Venetian bead off-center.
Yummy. I love giant necklaces like this. Very Wilma Flinstone.
Not very Wilma; the bra and slip straps showing with this sundress.
Don’t worry, I wore a tasteful cardigan over it to work. For photographic purposes I ditched the cardi and now, looking a the tell-tale straps I am regretting that decision. This necklace, however, I will never regret.

21 MayThis necklace is made with American Beauty turquoise and a very old rhinestone button.
I actually did make this for my friend Joan, but she designed it.
When it was finished she decided it looked better on me and gave it to me.
A lovely gift.
